People Practice

So since I purchased my Canon Rebel Xsi the hubs and I have had tons of fun running around taking pictures. But with the exception of the pictures we take of each other, we haven't had many opportunities to try out our skills with other folks. When we took our trip up north, we had that opportunity. My cousin Kathryn was engaged last November to her long time boyfriend Eugene. The hubs and I brought up the idea of taking engagement pictures of them while we were up in San Francisco and they were totally game. So we headed out to a couple of different locations in the city. First was the Legion of Honor Museum followed by Golden Gate Park. It was a typical cold and overcast day in San Fran but these two were troopers in the cold. Here are some of my favorites that we took.

And...my cousin Kathryn asked me to be her matron of honor! Eek! I'm so excited for them and to offer any help I can as they plan their wedding.

Anniversary Vacation Part 3: Cambria

The last leg of our week long vacation we continued to head south from Monterey down to Cambria. We took highway 1 and as long and windy as it was (i get car sick pretty easily) it was a beautiful drive. They have many Vista Points along the way and it was great to get out of the care, take in the sights and sounds of the ocean, and of course take some pictures.

Once we got into Cambria, we checked into our room at the Cambria Shores Inn right off Moonstone Beach. Just like our Monterey hotel room we had a beautiful view of the ocean. We headed into town, explored, and enjoyed the beach.

As part of our trip to Cambria we spent a day visiting nearby Hearst Castle. Amazing what one man with a crapload of money can do.

We had a blast on our road trip. Great way to spend our 1st anniversary!
